Italpol to handle vehicle and passenger routing services at olbia and golfo aranci ports
Four-Year Contract Begins
Italpol has been awarded the vehicle and passenger routing service at the ports of Olbia and Golfo Aranci in Sardinia. This activity includes welcoming, receiving, sorting, and routing vehicles and passengers arriving and departing from Olbia Isola Bianca port and, during the summer season, from Golfo Aranci.
The Sardinian Port System Authority announced that the Roman company secured the contract with the highest score in the tender for service provision. Italpol outperformed competitors with a 17% discount on the base auction price and a service enhancement package introducing significant technical innovations in traffic management and improved worker absorption plans. Additionally, the installation of infomobility systems for vehicle direction in and out of the port, traffic monitoring equipment, and a new and more advantageous contractual formula is planned.
Regarding Golfo Aranci, the objective is to improve traffic flow organization to prevent urban traffic congestion. As stated by the President of the Sardinian Port System Authority, it is essential to be prepared to handle a busy tourist season with maximum efficiency.
The signing of the award decree marks the beginning of the four-year mandate.
